Squeeze out as much water as you possibly can from the hide.
Make a rug out of pelts.
Stuck in the wool.
Backstitch at the end turn the rug over to the fur side and use the brush to remove any articles and make the fur soft.
You can hand pick some if you d like i did but there will be about 2 2 million pieces of debris in there just to forewarn you.
Make sure you have a large flat area to work in so that you can spread out your pelts.
The feel of the fabric is stiff like walking on padded vinyl.
This will come out later with brushing.
I am not sure the rug could be any larger than the width of the fabric you choose.
You don t have to kill an animal for this attractive faux sheepskin rug.
Make sure that the fur is going in the same direction and make sure to push the fur away from the edges to get a nice clean meeting of the edge line.
Most fabrics are 44 54 wide.
For example it may take up to 50 rabbit pelts to make a small throw or lap blanket or up to 100 pelts to make a throw that is big enough for a double bed.
Don t worry about the bits of straw etc.
Warning do not use metal containers or utensils when mixing solutions to avoid reactions with the chemicals.
If you needed a larger rug you would need to sew two pieces of fabric together and press the seam flat to make a larger area rug.
Wring out and hang.
